So, here’s the truth, so if you blame me, it’s for the right reason :)

Alright d00ds, so I’m going to ‘fess up.

I just found a fantastic job, and have been working two jobs the past week.  Next week is my first week transitioning to full-time at the great new job, and I also move at the end of the week.  All of this was super sudden, and so there’s been no time to mentally prepare.  I’m packing and also looking to furnish my new place.  So if I seem confused and nonsensical, I claim the Right of the Frazzled. 🙂

The other night I meant to place a necklace in a little turquoise Turkish bowl I keep odds and ends in, and brainlessly dropped it into a glass of wine.  I am not at my most mentally astute right now.  🙂  So please forgive any counterpart behavior in my blog writing.  🙂

This has been a cramp in my writing for about a week, so you’ll notice I haven’t written on writing for about that long.  That, inshallah, should change within the next week or so.

New job, moving, blocked, sounds awfully stressful to me. It’s a good thing you’re not getting married next week as well. You’d blow the stress meter into the next universe. Hope it all goes well for you!

      Haha! Thank you! 🙂 🙂

Actually, as far as writing goes, I’m not so much blocked as much as I’ve decided not to write for the week before the move as this way–having consciously accepted as much–it won’t stress me that I’m not making the time for it. Instead I’ve been focusing on everything else… Like finding furniture, comparing prices, etc… This is what happens when your lead time is 7 days, you know. 🙂

On top of that, this is the first time I’m looking to furnish a place myself (as opposed to simply making do with pass-me-downs and stuff picked off the street). All my life I’ve ached against settling down anywhere, and now I’m finally wanting to put down roots, and the furniture hunt reflects that, I think. 🙂

Who knew everything was so expensive?? 🙂 🙂

This Sunday and Monday will be my first two-day weekend in over two months, and I could use the sleep! After all, something has to sustain me through my measuring dimensions tomorrow and hitting up the furniture stores afterwards…. *sigh* 🙂

Thanks for the well wishes 🙂 I appreciate it 🙂

We’ll be going through much the same thing come December. We’re moving to Ohio to be with the son & wife & grandkids. What we have here as far as furniture can be tossed and not moved, which means furniture shopping when we get there. Our biggest moving headache is the library. Books, DVDs and CDs. Not hard to box up, but HEAVY to move! Still it will be fun rearranging everything. Best of luck to you in your shopping hunt!

        • sputnitsa says:

Thank you! Yeah, books are HEAVY. 🙂

It’s a mixture of fun and overwhelming to shop for furniture… What an insane week it’s been!!! 🙂

Ouch. Busybusybusy. I think “frazzled” is too mild a verb to describe it. Hope you get through it without any major catastrophes! Sounds like you’ve got enough on your plate without any unexpected surprises dropping from the sky…

    • sputnitsa says:

      Hahaha! Thank you.

Then again, it’s precisely when one’s juggling so much that the unexpected does drop from the sky. I would raise a fist to challenge said sky, but, you know, I don’t have a hand free from these boxes. 🙂 🙂

      Thanks again! 🙂

  3. Decorating is fun. Especially when you can make it exactly the way you want. 🙂

Congratulations on finding a new job. I’ve got another interview lined up, and am waiting to hear back from a company with whom I already interviewed, but I’m still unemployed. 😦

    • sputnitsa says:

Thanks–listen, it took me a while, so I can understand the feeling. Keep on keepin’ on. And good luck!! 🙂 🙂

      • matthewgraybosch says:

Thanks. I’m going to call back the company I interviewed tomorrow morning. If they want me, I’m there. If they’re still deciding, I’ll wait. And if they hired somebody else, I’ll wish ’em luck and ask ’em to keep my resume in case the new guy doesn’t work out.

Congratulations on the new job and new place!

    • sputnitsa says:

      Thank you!!! 🙂

I’m so inexperienced in planning these things out, I measured half the dimensions in feet and inches, and the other in pure inches. Not a huge problem, just a mark of the novice that I am. 🙂
